"I started training in 2007 in my senior year of high school. At the time, I’d only been working out in order to improve m physique. It wasn’t until I moved out on my own that I realized the impact that my lifestyle had on my health. By that time, I’d also reached a point where I couldn’t just eat anything I wanted and maintain my physique and my overall fitness levels. I decided that I had to clean up my diet and revamp my program if I wanted to remain healthy. I picked up a copy of Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe and gave up on the machines and the weight-loss gimmicks in favor of free weights, specifically Barbell training. Following a few months of powerlifting, I got started Weightlifting. I leaned up, got stronger, and grew more conditioned through appropriate programming. I never looked back."
